About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to help design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and scalable cloud-based data solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring data from multiple sources is processed, transformed, and made accessible for analytics, reporting, and AI-driven applications.
Working closely with data and technology teams, you will contribute to improving data quality, automating workflows, and optimising data infrastructure to support business needs and digital product development.

Our client is an international education and digital learning organisation that develops innovative learning materials, digital platforms, and educational solutions for schools and teachers across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and automated data processing workflows.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and transform it into reliable, well-structured datasets.
- Build and optimise cloud-based data solutions and infrastructure.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and availability.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, version control, and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data engineering or a related software engineering role.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data processing workflows.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and transformation tools such as Snowflake and dbt.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow is an advantage.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and CI/CD.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a technical team.
