Your Role

As a Development Engineer - Precision Cutting Elements, you will be responsible for translating consumer and business needs into high-performing, manufacturable cutting systems. You will develop precision mechanical solutions with demanding requirements on tolerances, reliability, wear resistance, and cutting performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cutting elements for grooming and beauty products, ensuring superior performance and consumer satisfaction.
• Translate user, commercial, and functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Design and engineer precision mechanical constructions and mechanisms focused on functionality, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Optimize critical aspects such as tolerances, friction, wear, vibration, durability, and cutting efficiency.
• Plan, execute, and analyze experiments to validate product performance and support design decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create production-ready designs in metal and plastic.
• Drive DFMEA activities, manage technical requirements, and support development according to the V-model methodology.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure successful industrialization of precision components.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps, innovation projects, and future cutting technologies.
• Release complete cutting element assemblies for mass production.

Candidate Profile

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Applied Physics, Biomechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong affinity with precision mechanics and the development of high-performance mechanical systems.
• Experience setting up, conducting, and analyzing experiments.
• Understanding of precision engineering principles, including tolerance management, strength, stiffness, drive mechanisms, and manufacturability.
• Skilled in 3D CAD and the design of precision mechanical components and assemblies.
• Experience with FEM, Python, or Design for Six Sigma (DfSS) is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
• Ambitious professional with the potential to grow into technical leadership roles such as Senior Mechanical Engineer, Lead Developer, or Product Architect.
