We are recruiting an experienced Equipment Coordinator / Expeditor for an international equipment supplier serving the energy and industrial sectors. Working within the Supply Department, you will coordinate suppliers and equipment orders after purchase orders have been placed, ensuring production, documentation, inspections and delivery meet project requirements.

This role suits someone with a mechanical engineering background and experience coordinating equipment supply within the energy, oil and gas or petrochemical industries.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact between suppliers and internal Engineering, Quality Control, Logistics and Project teams.
• Monitor manufacturing progress and delivery schedules, obtain progress reports and carry out supplier expediting visits when required.
• Coordinate the supply process to ensure equipment is delivered on schedule, within budget and according to specifications.
• Ensure vendor documentation is received on time and meets the Vendor Document Requirement Sheet (VDRS).
• Arrange inspection notifications so Quality Control inspectors can attend inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and purchase order requirements.
• Obtain supplier logistics documentation and provide it to the relevant internal teams.
• Work closely with the Buyer responsible for the commercial aspects of each purchase order.
• Maintain accurate records and regularly update project teams on order progress and delivery status.

Equipment within the scope includes pumps, chemical dosing systems, polishing plants, burners and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree / HBO qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least three years’ experience in a similar equipment coordination, subcontract coordination or expediting role within the energy, oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
• Knowledge of equipment manufacturing processes and international supplier coordination.
• Understanding of contracts, quality requirements and quality standards.
• Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and maintain an overview of project priorities.
• A proactive, assertive and accurate approach, with confidence using software systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
