Junior Quality Assurance Assistant

Role profile | Zundert | Proposed 32–40 hours per week

Support the quality team in keeping food safety documentation accurate, organising samples and analyses, and following up quality actions. This is a development role with guidance from an experienced quality colleague.

Main responsibilities

· Request, check and maintain supplier certificates, questionnaires and quality documents; flag missing, expired or inconsistent information.

· Prepare and update product specifications and customer quality questionnaires for review and approval.

· Coordinate sample requests and dispatches, arrange laboratory analyses, and track results and outstanding actions.

· Register complaints and non-conformities, gather supporting information, and follow up agreed corrective actions.

· Maintain quality records in the relevant systems and help prepare documentation for certification and customer audits.

· Work with logistics and commercial colleagues to resolve documentation gaps and improve routine quality processes.

Guidance and decision making

A designated experienced quality colleague provides onboarding, regular feedback and technical review. The junior flags concerns promptly. Final decisions on product release, supplier approval, significant complaints, HACCP, legal compliance and certification remain with the authorised quality lead. Supplier audits may be supported as experience develops.

Candidate profile

· Relevant mbo-4 or hbo education in food technology, food safety, quality or laboratory work, or comparable relevant knowledge.

· Accurate and organised, with the confidence to ask questions and follow up outstanding items.

· Good written and spoken English for international supplier and customer contact.

· Comfortable with office software and willing to learn quality systems and SAP.

· Food industry experience and knowledge of HACCP or BRCGS are welcome; training is provided. Previous QA experience is not essential.

Development and proposed terms

First three months: learn the products and workflows, handle routine documentation and sample coordination with review, and recognise issues that need escalation. Responsibility increases as competence develops.

Proposed: 32–40 hours, contract for one year with the intention to turn this in a contract for indefinite period after the one year contract, based at the Zundert office; €3250 gross per month on a 40-hour basis, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, plus 8% holiday allowance, pension and travel reimbursement. Start date as soon as possible.
