Junior IT Support Engineer

Role Description This full-time, on-site Junior IT Support Engineer role is based in Amsterdam. The role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical and help desk support to local and remote employees, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The Junior IT Support Engineer will assist with user account management, basic system administration tasks, and equipment setup and maintenance across office and operational environments. The role also includes documenting incident resolutions, updating knowledge bases, and escalating complex issues to senior IT staff when needed. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is expected to ensure stable IT operations that support GOFO’s logistics and technology platforms.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills to assist users and resolve IT-related issues efficiently.
• Candidates should possess solid Information Technology and System Administration skills to manage user accounts, devices, and basic infrastructure services.
• Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
• Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills to explain technical information, document procedures, and collaborate with team members.
• Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and basic networking concepts is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and follow inclusive, security-focused IT practices is expected.
