Position overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for building strong brand equity and delivering sustainable, long-term growth for Stanley across the assigned markets. With a deep understanding of the regional retail landscape, you will build, influence, and grow strategic partnerships with key retail accounts while helping shape a premium, high-quality distribution network across Benelux, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. You will be part of the Benelux & Iberia Sales team, working alongside a Sales Development Analyst and reporting directly to the Senior Country Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in driving Stanley's continued growth across the region.

What You'll Do

  • Execute the commercial strategy defined by the Senior Country Manager to drive profitable growth across Benelux, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
  • Deliver net revenue, margin, sell-through, and distribution targets across all product categories, ensuring strong performance in both physical retail and digital channels.
  • Own annual account plans, sales budgets, and trade investments, regularly reviewing performance against KPIs and taking corrective action where needed.
  • Build and grow strategic partnerships with key retailers such as El Corte Inglés, de Bijenkorf, Bever, and La Rinascente to increase market penetration, brand visibility, and consumer reach across Premium Lifestyle, Outdoor, and Sporting Goods channels.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans with key accounts, leading commercial negotiations on seasonal assortments, pricing, promotions, trade terms, and in-store and online activation.
  • Identify and activate new distribution opportunities, retail partnerships, and sales channels that strengthen Stanley's premium market position and support sustainable, long-term growth.
  • Use consumer, competitor, and market insights to identify growth opportunities and inform account and channel strategies.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, sales reporting, account performance analysis, and market insights, maintaining close alignment with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Finance, and Operations.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate account and opportunity data in the relevant sales planning tools.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to deliver successful product launches, strong retail execution, and exceptional consumer experiences across the region.
  • Travel regularly across the assigned markets to meet retail partners, identify commercial opportunities, and review retail execution.

Who You Are

  • Bring solid wholesale sales and key account management experience within consumer products, premium lifestyle, outdoor, or sporting goods, with a proven track record of growing accounts across physical and digital retail environments.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering profitable growth, developing strategic retail partnerships, and achieving commercial targets across different European markets.
  • Build trusted, long-term partnerships, influence stakeholders at all levels, and lead effective commercial negotiations and joint business planning.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Use strong analytical, forecasting, and financial skills to translate sales and market data into clear actions and growth opportunities.
  • Take ownership of outcomes as a highly motivated, results-driven self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Work effectively across different European markets and cultures, collaborating confidently with internal teams and external partners.
  • Communicate fluently in English; Dutch, Spanish, or Italian is an advantage, and you are willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time across the region
